Frequently Ask Questions


Most guest choose to fly into  (POP) Puerto Plata International Airport. From there it is aprox. 30 min drive.  Your transportation will be provided to you free of charge to and from Puerto Plata International airport when booked through us.   A shuttle van will be awaiting you at the airport.   Just after you pass through Customs and Immigration Area you will enter the Luggage Pickup Area. Get your luggage and proceed outside the terminal building. Look for a transportation host he or she will have a  "Name Sign" with my last name (Evans) and your family name on it . You will be taken directly to your resort, please let the driver know that you need VIP check in. At the end of your vacation you will also be taken back to the airport for your trip back home at no charge 2 days prior to departure you use house phone to call VIP services and give them your return flight info so they can make the arrangements for your return to the airport . Also during your vacation, you will have the use of the shuttle service provided at no cost to you through out the resort and to Ocean World and Ocean World Casino. If you book any tours while at the resort transportation is also provided. You can also fly into  Santiago (STI) but the travel time is about 1 ½ hours to the resort and there is additional charge for taxi service from (STI) you can hire taxi at STI airport the normal charge is $120.00 for up to 6 guest.


The resort accepts all major credit and debit cards, including Discover Card. They also accept American dollars, Dominican Pesos and American Express Travelers Cheques.


Yes our guest will get a golf cart to use with a stay in a Villa at no charge . As a Shareholder this is one of the VIP privileges we pass on to our guest we chose not to add a extra charge for this privilege as some other members do. The resort does not rent out golf carts and guest doing exchanges through various trade organizations are not able to get them so this is a pretty exclusive privilege.    The golf carts are only available with villa rentals and are subject to availability. 


  Internet access is available in the VIP Reservation Area where they have 2 computers that Vip guest can use for free. There is also free high speed wireless is available to you in VIP World and VIP Sports Bar and patio area where you can sit and have a drink at a private table and stay connected.   They also have wifi packages for total resort wifi access there is a fee for this see our page for details.


No problem you can stay any number of days you want we will simply adjust price to a daily rate


No through us you can check in and out any day of the week you like


No, the villa is yours for the week. You only pay all inclusive fees for the guest you have. Quite often honeymoon couples want a villa for just the two of them.


  Yes there is a medical facility on the resort grounds, however they are independent from the resort.  There may be extra fees for supplies or treatment needed.   


The resort supplies beach towels , leave yours at home. The maid will give you as many as you need . There is also beach towels located at VIP Beach for you


No I'm sorry, the only way to receive our benefits is to book through us.  There is no way of paying a fee just to use our VIP benefits.


Dinner reservations are made through the Reception in the area in which you are staying except for Gourmet that needs to be made through VIP services , When you are staying in the villas you will make all of your dinner reservations through your  VIP rep that gets assigned to you at check in time.  We strongly recommend that you book your dinner reservations as soon as possible upon arrival , you can make your reservations for the entire length of your stay at one time.   We are unable to arrange and make reservations for you prior to your arrival , and we are unable to guarantee that you will get into each restuarant you want it is based on availability at the time of your stay.  


My advice is if you know that you will need it then bring it with you.  There is a medical clinic and a shop on the resort grounds , however costs of such things are not the same as they are where you live , something's may be cheaper but other's may be more costly.  It is always best that your bring what you know you may need.


I am sorry to say no we are not able to request this anymore ,  the resort is a member based resort and actual members and shareholders are currently the only eligible people to receive this benefit. 

My understanding is that you can order and pay for the service for an extra fee but members of the resort will still get first choice on this transportation.

Helicopter pick-up from POP Airport $450 (2 people)
Limo pick-up from POP Airport $350 (up to 6 people)

However keep in mind that we are able to get you the free vip shuttle van for your airport pick up from POP airport.


Yes there is a dress code and it is being enforced for the following restuarants : Jazz , Gourmet, Moomtaz, Rodizio, El Pilon & Intimates  ~ Gentlemen are required to wear long pants. 

All air-conditioned restaurants are semi-formal   All opena-air restaurants are casual.
